I was born in Germany, but have lived in New Zealand sine 1987. I’m married and we have three grown up sons.
I studied music in Germany and then Psychology at Victoria University of Wellington, where I completed my degree in 1997. Since then I worked for Capital Coast Health and Hutt Valley DHBs both with adolescents and adults. In 2006 I did the intensive training in DBT and use this modality frequently in my work. I also did two weekend workshops in EMDR and am a member of EMDRNZ.
I have two dogs, who are an important part of our family. One of my dogs often comes to therapy with me and is a great co-therapist.
