Meg Robertson, MN, BN
I have worked in the mental health field for over 16 years. Initially I worked as a nurse in the inpatient mental health unit, then in the Crisis Assessment Team in the community. I wanted to expand my skills and ability to work independently so I completed a Master of Nursing and qualified as a Nurse Practitioner. Nurse practitioners provide a wide range of assessment and treatment interventions. Nurse practitioners make diagnoses and differential diagnoses, and order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests. They prescribe medicines within their area of competence with the same authority as medical practitioners. I specialise in comprehensive assessment and treatment plans. I enjoy helping people to identify what is happening for them and working with them to get on top of their health and wellbeing.
I was born in Nelson and live here with my family. I enjoy playing ultimate Frisbee, kayaking, cooking and reading.
