Lynda Soper, Postgraduate Certificate in Supervision (NMIT), Batchelor of Arts in Social Work (BTI)
Kia ora, I'm Lynda Soper. I currently provide ACC sensitive claims social work and counselling. I also do external supervision. With 25 years' experience in the social service sector, I've worked in many different settings including working with traumatised Tamariki going through Care and Protection issues, victims of trauma at the Nelson District Court, and for NGOs such as The Bread of Life, Te Rapaora, and The Open Home Foundation. My roles always included supporting people to set clear goals and become the best version of themselves. I have enjoyed seeing people grow and change as they learn about themselves, implement their values and free themselves from negative emotional thought patterns.
I work from a Strengths-Based, Solution-Focused, whanaungatanga (relational) philosophy. The foundation of my practice is a belief that we all need positive, trusting relationships to grow, heal and thrive.
I live in Havelock with my husband Paul and dog Tilly. We have three grown children and one adorable grandson. I love beekeeping, gardening, and photography. I attend the local church and find these activities support my sense of wellness, keeping me fit and connected with others in the local community.
