Psychologist

Jolandie is a South African-trained clinical psychologist, registered with both the New Zealand Psychologists Board and the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists. She brings experience from diverse clinical settings, including general mental health services, residential addiction rehabilitation, and both outpatient and residential treatment for eating disorders.

Jolandie works primarily with adults and has a particular passion for supporting individuals who have experienced trauma. Her clinical focus often involves helping people navigate the complex interplay of trauma and co-occurring difficulties such as obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety disorders, phobias, depression, and eating disorders.

She is trained in a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Prolonged Exposure (PE), Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT and MED-DBT). Jolandie is trained and experienced in integrating different evidence-based treatments to create a treatment plan to meet someone’s individual needs.
