Jeanique Willemse, Msc (Clin Psychology), PG Dip Clin Psych, MNZZP, registered EMDR and CBT practitioner
Jeanique graduated as a clinical psychologist from the VU University (Amsterdam) in 2007 and continued to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology (RINO) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive and Behavioural Therapy, which entitles her to full accreditation with the Dutch Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (VGCt) and the Dutch and European EMDR Associations.
She has been working as a psychologist for Arkin - which is one of the two major Mental Health Care Organizations in Amsterdam - from 2007 until she immigrated to New Zealand in October 2016. In addition to a background in general mental health, Jeanique has a particular interest in the psychological treatment of trauma and impacting life events.
More recently Jeanique focussed her professional development on Mindfulness Based Somatic Therapy approaches and Tension and Trauma releasing exercises (TRE).
Within her clinical practice, Jeanique tailors interventions to meet individual needs, drawing on a range of therapy modalities including (attachment informed) EMDR, Mindfulness, Skills training and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
