Germaine trained as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (children and young people) in the UK and has worked with children and adolescents for over 6 years. Germaine has since graduated as a clinical psychologist from the University of Auckland, where she gained further experience in working with child, adolescent, and adult clients. She has a particular interest in working with individuals who have experienced trauma. Germaine draws upon a number of therapy models including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Systemic Therapy. She is also trained in the Triple P parenting programme and Theraplay.
