Jen Holmes-Beamer, MSc | Diploma in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (ANZAP) | PBANZ | Yoga Therapist (I-AYT) & TC-TSY Facilitator
I offer individual psychotherapy and EMDR, as well as body-based group programs under ACC Sensitive Claims — including Embodied Healing: Trauma Sensitive Yoga and Settle Into Rest online program.
My approach is holistic and draws on my earlier work as an occupational therapist in Canada, as well as training in yoga therapy for PTSD-related insomnia. These experiences have shaped a deep respect for how the body holds stories that words alone can’t reach.
As a psychotherapist, I offer a space of gentle curiosity and compassion — where you can begin to safely reconnect with your inner world and nurture a sense of self that may have been disrupted by relational or developmental trauma. I see the therapeutic relationship as a shared exploration, where we can listen together to the mystery of your inner world, making room for deeper meaning to emerge.
Leading research in trauma healing repeatedly finds that we have to invite the body into the conversation. If we work together, we’ll take care to move at your pace, drawing on evidence-based approaches that help emotional experiences find expression and integration — supporting a return to safety and connection.
