Dawn is a member of MNZCCA, a Registered Provider for ACC Sensitive Claims, a Sports Therapist, Professional Supervisor and a NZ Registered Teacher.
She has had a rich and diverse journey, with a significant focus competing as a National and International Athlete for 15 years.
This experience as an Elite Athlete gave Dawn a passion to Counsel people involved in Sport at any level, who are struggling in life to achieve their dreams. Incorporating mental, physical, emotional and relational techniques to help boost performance, team dynamics and injury rehabilitation is central in her approach.

Dawn also provides Counselling for a wide range of emotional and psychological needs. She has trained other health professionals in trauma recovery, particularly in the complexities of Dissociation which has led her into Counselling adolescents and adults who have experienced trauma and sexual abuse. She has over 25 years’ experience in this area.
Dawn leans to a Strength based, and Solution focused approach to Counselling, Sports Therapy and Supervision. She is known for her warm, accepting style of communicating to engage clients. Dawn offers a professional, positive, realistic and straightforward approach to support you while encouraging you to maintain a balanced view on life.
She can be available for online Supervision, Sports Therapy and Counselling both in Nelson and throughout Aotearoa, New Zealand.
