Morgan Gallop, BSc, Psychology and Biological Sciences, MSc, Psychology (Health), First Class Honours, Postgrad Dip Psych Practice
I am a Registered Psychologist with 7 years experience working in the health, trauma and neurodivergent space in New Zealand.
My focus is in the dynamic area of health; considering all the factors and wellbeing. My work is informed by neurodevelopmental practice - we live in a world where so much is pathologised and the experience is minimized. I have completed Level 1 and Level 2 Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy and this is the foundation to my therapeutic approach. I have also engaged in significant professional development in the neurodivergence space which is continuous. I have completed training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for different age groups, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing.
The work can be complex and as a natural critical thinker I am able to be reflective in my thinking and go on a journey of learning alongside my clients, understand connections between thoughts, feelings and behaviour, problem solve in a collaborative way that embrace an individual's and/or family's beliefs and values and make this central to the therapy space.
