Facilitators: Jessica Dziwulska & Amy Benjamin

Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) is an evidence-based intervention designed for complex trauma and treatment-resistant PTSD. Grounded in trauma theory, neuroscience, and yoga philosophy, TCTSY emphasises reconnecting with inner sensations rather than focusing on physical forms. This internal focus supports participants in increasing tolerance to sensory experiences and enhancing emotional awareness. Research by Bessel van der Kolk has shown that TCTSY can significantly reduce PTSD symptoms and improve functioning.

Te Whare Pōra Mauritau

Facilitators: Jessica Gerbic & Ahi Nyx

Te Whare Pōra Mauritau offers real tools and deep reconnection—a space to weave yourself back into balance, grounded in Te Ao Māori. This culturally grounded, embodied group programme supports healing and hauora for those living with the impacts of trauma. Our wānanga weaves together raranga (flax weaving) to reconnect body, mind, and wairua, embodied mauritau (traditional Māori mindfulness) practices to support calm and balance, and reflection on mauri (life essence) and tohu of imbalance.

Held by a Māori kairaranga and a Māori clinical psychologist, this mahi creates a safe, well-held, and culturally anchored space. We welcome all ethnicities, genders, body types, nationalities, sexualities, and belief systems—extending an invitation to anyone who wishes to partake in this healing journey.

Delivered as a one or two day workshop.

Te Whare Pōra Mauritau is a  trauma-informed wānanga rooted in raranga and traditional Māori healing through mauritau. Open to all with sensitive claims, this group welcomes Māori, non-Māori, ira tangata, wāhine and tāne. No weaving experience is needed, just a willingness to reconnect. Through hands-on mahi and cultural guidance, participants are supported to find calm, reclaim identity, and restore mauri.
