Clinical Psychologist

Pip Peacocke is a New Zealand trained Clinical Psychologist with 10 years experience working across all age groups. She worked in a specialist mental health service prior to starting private practice at the beginning of 2014.

Pip is registered with the New Zealand Psychologist's Board and is a member of the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists. She is contracted to The Nelson Clinic to provide assessments and treatment on the Psychological Services and Sensitive Claims contracts.  She also provides services to NMDHB through the Primary Mental Health Initiative.

Pip can assess and treat a range of clinical presentations, including depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress. Due to her previous work experience with children she can also provide assessment and treatment for children with developmental and behavioural challenges. She takes a warm and practical approach to helping individuals and whānau manage their difficulties.

Pip primarily trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) but has received subsequent training in a range of areas and is able to draw on these approaches to work collaboratively in a way that best meets your needs (includind DBT, ACT, and trauma-based therapy EMDR).
