Frances Brett

Frances joined The Nelson Clinic team in April 2017 as the Practice Manager. Her enthusiasm for organisation and efficiency were sought-after attributes for this role. She ensures that all systems are streamlined to provide an efficient and productive workplace.

Prior to working at the Nelson Clinic, Frances studied at the University of Canterbury and graduated with an MSc in Psychology. Her major was in neuroscience, which lead to work as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Canterbury and Research Assistant in Sweden at Karolinska Institute and Uppsala University. The focus of her research was related to spatial information processing as well as furthering our understanding of the function of specific brain regions.

Before training as a research scientist, Frances studied to be a graphic designer, graduating with a DipGD. She worked at a Signwriting company in Christchurch in this capacity for 10 years and still brings a designer's eye to everything she does.
